Find the most comfortable mattress for your sleeping type

Do you have a preferred sleep position? Depending on whether you sleep on your side, back, or stomach, there are different mattresses that will give you the best all-night comfort. Your go-to sleep position may also be influenced by certain coinciding factors, like chronic back and neck pain, pregnancy, snoring, sleep apnea, and other issues.

As you search for the most comfortable mattress, take the time to research what kind of support is right for you. If you sleep on your back, you’ll typically want a mattress that conforms to your spine, head, and neck. For side sleepers, we recommend starting out with a softer, more plush mattress that allows pressure to be taken off your hips and shoulders. Stomach sleepers might prefer a firmer mattress to keep their spine from being misaligned.

Did you know?

Did you know there’s no perfect mattress for everyone? It might sound like an obvious statement, but it’s absolutely true: a one-size fits all mattress does not exist. We each have different tastes when it comes to the kind of sleep experience we want. Don’t trust brands or “sleep experts” that tout a mattress that “everyone loves.”

Do you know the criteria for selecting the right mattress for you? While on the hunt for a brand new mattress, there are a few main factors that you need to consider:

  • Firmness: how hard/soft the mattress is
  • Material: foam, innerspring, hybrid, latex
  • Body Type: your body weight impacts the kind of mattress suitable for you
  • Sleep Position: side, back, and stomach sleepers all require different types of support
  • Price: have a budget in mind for this investment

Did you know what you do out of bed affects your sleep quality?

Are you stressed out by work? Not moving around enough during the day? Drinking more caffeine than your body can actually handle? These are just some of the day-to-day factors that can impact your sleep quality. While a good bedroom setup will do wonders for your rest, how you live your life from the moment you wake up plays a significant role as well.

Did you know you shed and sweat nightly? As unappealing as it sounds, it’s a natural process that occurs while you’re sleeping (and while you’re awake). Your body is shedding skin cells, oil, sweat, saliva, hair follicles, and more throughout the day, and ~8 hours of that is spent in bed.

Did you know you can recycle your mattress? That’s right! Skip taking your mattress to the dump or setting it on your curb for waste pick-up. Rather than completely getting rid of an old mattress that may no longer serve its purpose, you can donate it to a local charity or take it to a mattress store nearby to have them recycle it for you.
